Answer: Time

-------------------

This is one of the riddles that Gollum asked Bilbo in the movie "The Hobbit".

Most people are bound by time on a smaller or larger scale.

But what if it's all an illusion? A mind trick?

The thing is, that there's only now. In fact, we are living in one big now "all the time" (pun intended!),  where one occurrence is followed by another!

Aging is dependent on the concept of time. But if time is an illusion, so is aging!

Nature.com have this definition of aging:

"Ageing is the process during which structural and functional changes accumulate in an organism as a result of the passage of time. The changes manifest as a decline from the organism’s peak fertility and physiological functions until death."

....As a result of the passage of time!

But what if time is simply a construct and does not really exist? That it is simply a damn good illusion?

Here's the thing:

Aging only exists if time exists AND if time is an illusion, so is aging!

The big question is: If time is an illusion, why are we aging?

Because we create our own reality!

In the end, aging is self-created - unconsciously, and has been so for eons!

Let me ask you a question: You know the Law of Attraction... what we focus on, we attract, right?

Correct!

What we hold in our most in our mind (consciously and unconsciously) we attract and create as our reality!

What we hold as our belief system, we attract!

So, if we are caught up in time and time is responsible for aging, we ARE eventually going to age and die of an age-related issue! It is like a self-fulfilled prophecy coming true!

Another question is: If time is an illusion, why is everything around us deteriorating? Cars are rusting and it "slays kings and ruins town"?

Because the concept of time and aging exists in the human consciousness on this planet!

It is a joint agreement! "And so it is!"

We are creators of not just our own life, but of our planet too!

So a third question: Can we break out of it? And if yes, then how?

The first step is to be aware of the state we are in!

How can we break free of something, that we do not really know about?

We have to break out of the shared human consciousness, and become free of the limitations, that have been here for eons of time!

We have to see time for what it is and how this illusion affects us. As individuals, but also as a whole.

Are there already immortals?

Yes, there are! But more about that in the next lesson.

For now, an assignment!

If you don't have one already, I want you to buy an extra clock. It can be a small alarm clock or mantle clock.

Next time we will "stop the time"! Well, not really like they do in X-Men, but....well, you will see!

Until the next "time", really ponder about the concept of time. Become aware of the "state" we as human beings are in!
